Love of Many Shall Wax Cold

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD." Matt 24:9-12

When you read these words, you can tell that prophesy is being fulfilled. We can see that Christianity is:

• Hated by the world/nations.
• Many are easily offended and betray one another.
• We are living in an age of false prophets and the apostate Christian church.
• Many are easily deceived.
• And love of many are being waxed cold.  

Early this morning, I woke to a radio broadcast that shared the following message. The speaker said that nearly every form of art, music, and beauty has become seriously degraded over the past 100 years. Something has happened over the past 50 years that has particularly affected these facets of our society, and it stems from the loss of love.

From losing the power to love, men have lost the power to create beauty, because beauty arises from love. He explained that love and beauty are inexorably bound together. When men lose the power to love, they substitute power over... thus becoming authoritarian. Authoritarianism is what lies at the root of wife abuse and child abuse. When love runs out of a person’s life, they then begin to abuse one another.

I see this happening at a grander scale, and how this pattern has begun to reach the Church and our entire society. There is an underlying power play taking place, and this has been replacing the love that once abounded toward mankind. This lovelessness will create a totalitarian government.

We are living in days of apostasy, not revival. The false prophets are claiming that 'revival' is coming, but is isn't. The world is heading into its darkest days. Why has this happened?

"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2 Thess. 2:10-12

The enemy creates the lies, 

but God sends delusion that they believe the lie.

Those who do see the apostasy should also guard their hearts from becoming hardened. As we encounter those who don't want to understand Communitarianism and its affect on the corporate Church, and those who desire to continue in the paganism within the man-made organized church, we can be hardened by standing alone. One can get hardened and calloused from being pummeled by standing against the flow.

The Bible says in Heb. 3:8, :

"Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation [rebelliousness], in the day of temptation in the wilderness..."

It's easy to become angry at those who are blinded by deception, but be cautious that you don't become one of the casualties.
